Treatment

The treatment of diabetes mellitus in dogs is, sometimes, a challenge to the pet owner. A balanced diet associated with the correct dose of insulin (picture 1) – measured previously – are the essential steps in order to control the disease. The glicemia needs also to be always checked by the veterinarian/owner of the dog.
